The Bible
We believe all 66 books of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation to be the inspired Word of God. We believe in the verbal and plenary inspiration of Scripture. We believe that God’s Word is infallible and inerrant. We believe that God has preserved His Word and that the King James Version is the preserved Word of God for English-speaking people. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 1 Pet. 1:23-25; 2 Pet. 1:19-21)
God
We believe in one eternal, in nite, self- existent, immutable God, who has one nature, essence, substance, and character. We believe that God manifests Himself to man in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; 1 Tim. 1:17; Jas. 1:17; 1 Jn. 5:7)
Jesus
We believe Jesus to be God in the esh, having all of the attributes of God including His self-existence and eternality. We believe that Christ lived a sinless life and was incapable of sin as God. We believe that Christ was virgin born and thereby had no sin nature. We believe that Christ died as the nal, substitutionary, sinless sacri ce for sin and became the complete propitiation for man’s sin debt. We believe that Christ later, signifying His complete victory over sin. We believe that Christ ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father, making intercession for believers. We believe that one day Christ will call all N.T. believers, both dead and living, to himself at the Rapture. We believe that Christ will physically return to earth for 1,000 years after the seven year tribulation period and reign as King of kings and Lord of lords. (Is. 7:14, 9:6; Mt. 2:4-25; Lk. 1:26-35; Jn. 1:1-3; 1:14; Rom. 3:24-25, 5:6, 8; Phil. 2:5-11; 1 Thes. 4:13-18; 1 Tim. 2:5; Heb. 9:26-28; Rev. 20:6)
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit of God is a Person who has personality and all the attributes of Deity. We believe the Holy Spirit has always been involved in the affairs of mankind. However, we believe He has a special ministry which began at Pentecost and will continue until the Rapture. This ministry includes: convicting the world and believers of sin, regenerating, sanctifying, sealing, lling, empowering, enlightening and gifting all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. (Jn. 3:5-6; 14:16; 16:7-11; Acts 1:5; 7:51; 1 Cor. 2:6-16; 3:16; 6:19-20; 12:1-11; Eph. 4:30)
Sin and Salvation
We believe that all men were born with a sin nature inherited from their common ancestor, Adam. We believe that all men are guilty of sinning against a just God and are therefore subject to the due punishment for their sins. We believe that the penalty of sin is a literal, eternal separation from God in hell. We believe that God is not willing that any should perish and because of His love, mercy, and grace, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for the sins of the whole world, be buried, and rise again three days later, thus satisfying the debt that man owed to a just God and signifying His victory over sin. We believe that God offers the free gift of eternal life to all mankind based only upon the merits of Christ and in no way upon the merits of man. We believe that God has given man a choice to place his trust and dependence on the work of Christ for salvation or to reject Him. Only those who put their faith in Christ as the only way of salvation will be saved from their sin, establish a relationship with God, and attain an eternal home in heaven. (Jn. 3:16; Rom. 3:23, 5:8, 12, 6:23; Eph. 2:8-9; Tit. 3:5-6; 2 Pet. 3:9; Rev. 20:11-14)
