We have been busy over the past few weeks! We traveled to North Carolina for our mission board’s family fellowship week and it was a huge blessing! It was wonderful to get to see many of our missionary friends and to make many more.
Since we have been back at Lifeline, Nick has been preaching several times a week between church and nursing homes. He is also preparing to start visitation in the more urban side of Haverhill. Nick was recently preaching at one of the nursing homes and had the opportunity to lead a woman named Geraldine to the Lord! Please pray for the opportunity to disciple her.
We had VBS 2 weeks ago and it was a great week! Nick preached each night, and Lindsey helped with crafts and puppets. It was exciting to see one boy saved as well as several kids indicate that God was working in their hearts about salvation. There were also several kids who are pursuing baptism in the near future.
Next week we help with Jr Day Camp at the church. Nick will be preaching in the mornings, which he is really looking forward to. Please pray that the Lord will continue to work in the hearts of the children who indicated that the Lord was woking in their hearts about their need to be saved. We are praying that these children would understand the Gospel clearly and accept Christ.
We have recently joined the choir, which is something we have missed while being on deputation, and Lindsey will start playing piano for some services and Nick will help with song leading. Nick will start teaching teen Sunday school this fall, and then we will both be helping with Master Clubs on Wednesday nights. We are obviously staying busy, but in the best way.
Last week we found out that we had a leak in our bathtub that had apparently been a problem for some time. This meant that we had to gut our bathroom as well as repair subfloors in the kids’ room and the ceiling in two rooms below the bathroom. Please pray that Nick would be able to get this project done in a timely fashion in the midst of a very busy schedule.
Ellie and Gabe have enjoyed a lot of swimming this summer and are really enjoying being in one place! Ellie is finally walking and Gabe is a huge helper and asks a lot of questions! Please pray for their early salvation. Gabe is starting to ask more and more questions, and has started to pray for things out loud at random, and it’s really exciting to witness him realizing God answers his prayers.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support!
Praise the Lord! We are praying for you and rejoicing in what God is doing. Enmans
Greetings to the Stelzigs, may God bless you all as you serve Him with your whole heart,
I am glad to read that Gealdine and that boy was saved! What is the boy’s name? I will pray that the “Day Camp” will bring others to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ! I am glad that you all are staying busy in the Lord’s work and will ask God to help you to do all that you can do so that others will see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven! I was wondering if you all are the Stelzigs that need to have their home in North Carolina sold? I still pray that it will sell but I didn’t remember to put the first name of the owners on it and I do pray for you all and the Stelzigs that are going to Canada as well. Let me know if it is you all. Keep on doing all that you can and know that prayers are going up to the Throne of Grace for you and will until we all hear the “SHOUT”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for the update Lindsey. It is wonderful to hear how the Lord is using you both and about all of the activities which you have been able to do to further the work there. It is always wonderful to hear how the Lord is using the ministry, esp. to reach youth.
We are happy to hear of Gabe and Ellie’s activities also. They must be a great joy to you.
Love in Christ, Pastor Ernest and Karen
