We have been very busy over the last couple of months. We have just finished a week and a half stretch in which we were in 3 missions conferences in Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. I have just received word this week that 3 new churches have taken us on for support which brings us to 64% of our needed support. We hope to hear from several other churches in the next few weeks that have expressed an interest in supporting our ministry.
Last month we had the opportunity to spend some time in the area of Boston that the Lord has called us to. Our hearts broke as we saw so many people and so few churches. It seemed that every mile we drove there was a need for another church to be planted in that area. As we traveled through that area, Matthew 9:37–38 came to mind, which says: “Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”
This passage spurred two thoughts: 1). We need more church-planters to come to Boston and do what we are doing all across the city. 2). We need more people to assist us in the ministry to which the Lord has called us.
We have been praying for some time that the Lord would send a family who would be willing to work along side us in planting churches in this very needy part of Boston. As we are getting closer to reaching our goal for support, we are asking that you would begin praying with us that the Lord would send the right family to work along side us and assist in the ministry to which He has called us.
At the end of this week we will begin making our way out to Kansas for the whole month of November. Would you please pray for profitable meetings and safety as we travel?
Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support!
