Praying Friends,
Thank you for your faithful prayers and support for our ministry. Since our last prayer letter the Lord has done so much in our lives and ministry.
Easter Sunday was an exciting day for our church and our family. At dinner on Saturday night I explained to the kids the significance of Easter Sunday. As I was explaining Christ’s work on the cross and resurrection from the dead, Ellie began to ask questions about her need for salvation. Ellie had been asking questions for some time about the gospel and on that Saturday before Easter, Ellie trusted Christ as her Savior. It was such an awesome privilege to get to truly worship OUR Savior for the first time with Ellie on Easter Sunday!
On Easter Sunday we broke our previous attendance record with several visitors. We had 44 people in attendance many of whom are unsaved and heard the gospel. Please continue to pray for the salvation of the several visitors who have been coming regularly.
As I mentioned in the last letter, the Lord has provided all that was needed for the down payment for the purchase of the church building. We are currently in discussions with the bank and would appreciate your prayers for wisdom. We have been approved for a loan contingent on an appraisal which is schedule to take place in the next couple of weeks. We praise the Lord for His provision.
In just a few weeks will be hosting the “See The Harvest: Boston” missions team from our mission agency. During the week they are here (June 28 – July 5), we will be having special services each night (Wed. – Fri.). Two children’s outreaches in a local park on Friday and Saturday afternoon, and will be distributing gospel literature throughout the city and at two 4th of July events. Would you please pray for us as we prepare for what is going to be a very busy week of ministry? Pray that the Lord would bring fruit from the work that will be done and that He would work in the hearts of those on the team to see the need in missions.
It has been exciting to see the Lord continue to bring Spanish-speaking people to our church. We have quickly become a bi-lingual church. It was such an awesome experience to lead the church in “Great is Thy Faithfulness” a few Sundays ago and hear people singing out in praise to our God in Spanish and English. What an awesome glimpse of heaven it has been to listen to Spanish speakers and English speakers praise God together in unison.
We are so thankful for those in our church family who translate our services as we work to learn Spanish so that we can better communicate and minister to these families. Please pray for me and Lindsey that we would learn the language quickly.
Thank you again for your faithfulness to support and pray for our ministry!
