Dear Praying Friends,
Thank you for your prayers for us as we traveled this past month. During the month of November, we were in several missions conference as well as individual meetings. We traveled from North Carolina, to Delaware, to Virginia, to South Carolina, to West Virginia, to Pennsylvania, to Connecticut, and finally back to Massachusetts. The Lord gave us safety, even when we had a tire blowout while we were driving down the highway.
This past weekend, we enjoyed visiting Boston with a church in the area for their Christmas church activity, and we were able to go to Quincy Market and see the light show. It was bittersweet to hear the Hallelujah Chorus being sung, knowing that we will get to sing praise to God for all of eternity, but to so many of the people present, the song has little to no meaning. Our hearts are burdened more and more every time we get to visit Boston, and we pray that the Lord would get us their quickly.
Since the month of December slows down quite a bit for missionaries, we decided to try potty training Gabriel. So far it is going well, but the adventure will really start when we try to keep up with it on the road.
Lindsey’s pregnancy is going well, and in a few weeks we should be able to find out if we are having a boy or a girl! Please continue to pray for Lindsey to have strength as we travel, and also for her and the baby to stay healthy.
This week, we learned that Nick’s grandmother, who is the secretary of our home church, has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and has been give about 3 months to live. This is a difficult time for us, but we praise the Lord that she is a believer and she is not in any pain. We can see God’s hand at work even through our tire blowing out last month, because while we were waiting for it to be fixed, we were able to spend several hours with Nick’s grandmother we would not have had otherwise. Nick was able to fly down for a few days to spend some time with her. Please pray for the family and the church through this difficult time.
We are so thankful for your continued prayers and support! Have a wonderful Christmas season!
Thank you for the update. It is easier to pray if we know specific requests. We will be praying for your family and grandmother especially. I was reading this morning about the blessing of having hope in our grief at the time of death. Praise the Lord.
It has been a busy week at Grace Baptist in Landrum – we are so thankful the Lord has allowed us to be where we are this year.
Wishing you a blessed Christmas and New Year.
