We trust that you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It has been a while since our last update and a lot has happened.
Since God called us to the Boston area we have been praying for a family to work with us in starting the church. Ryan and Abi Baker are called to be missionaries to Chile but had been praying for more ministry experience be- fore launching out as missionaries. With Lawrence being a heavily Spanish speaking area, it is a great fit for them to be a help to us and for them to continue to develop their fluency in Spanish. They have moved up to help start the church, but are currently on a three month survey trip to Chile, and will be back in time for our first Sunday. We are so excited about how God has answered our prayers.
We have continued to work on our own Spanish and are teaching the kids common phrases. Recently, when we were in Lawrence, Gabe came running from a group of kids to ask us how to say ‘I love you’ in Spanish.
We have made many contacts in the last few weeks that seem very excited about the church plant and about learning from the Bible. It is so exciting to see the Lord working. We’ve had more people reach out to us, rather than us reaching out to them, than we’d ever expected.
The Lord has provided much of our needed start-up costs, and we know that he will provide the rest of the funds needed for finance costs and the costs associated with the open air evangelistic outreach event in August. Would you pray with us for God’s continued provision and hand of blessing on our ministry?
We also praise the Lord that several groups have responded to our last prayer letter and are planning to bring groups up to help us canvas the area and prepare for the start of Sunday services. We are already preparing for the groups that are planning to come in the summer. If your church is interested in bringing a group, we would love to have you! However, we need to begin planning now. If your church would like to assist in this way, please let us know sooner than later so that we can begin making preparations for your group.
Please pray as we begin our midweek Bible studies on February 5. We are calling these our ‘Get Acquainted Meet- ings.’ We are praying these meetings will encourage unity and bonding in our core group of believers with which we are starting the church.. We are also praying that visitors would come and that we’d have opportunities to present the Gospel in these meetings.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support.

Thank you for your recent prayer letter I enjoyed reading it and seeing how our Lord is using you and your family in the Boston area. I really liked hearing how Gabe wanted to speak Spanish and asked you how to say certain words in Spanish. How cute! Thank you again for your updates we continue to pray for a missionary stateside as well as overseas. Blessings and hugs
