Praying Friends,
We are so thankful for your faithful financial and prayer support. Exciting things are happening at Community Baptist Church:
Two weeks ago we had a baptismal service in which Gio, Ariana, and Dee were baptized. All three were saved this past summer and they are continuing to grow rapidly in their faith. There were 7 first-time visitors who had been invited by those being baptized. Not only did they hear a simple gospel message from the Bible but they heard three crystal-clear gospel testimonies from their loved ones. Please pray for Ariana, Gio, and Dee as they continue to grow and share the gospel with their friends and family. They are regularly requesting prayer for unsaved friends and family and asking me how to more effectively share the gospel.
About a year ago the daughter of one of our faithful church members was baptized. Her great grandmother was not able to attend but watched online. Apparently my message reminded her of the preaching of a Baptist pastor who’s church she attended when she was a teenager 75 yrs. ago. Since she left that church as a teen she has attended Catholic churches. Several weeks later I met with her and began sharing the gospel with her. After almost a year of meeting regularly, she trusted Christ. She has been sharing the gospel with her family ever since, and we are praying they will trust Christ as well.
It is amazing to think that a faithful pastor planted the seed of the gospel over 75 years ago and that seed finally took root 75 years later. I have been the pastor on the other side of that scenario. I have invested in people and shared the gospel with them and eventually they leave, and I don’t see any fruit from the labor. Im reminded of 1 Corinthians 3:7–8:
“So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.”
We praise the Lord for giving the increase and we are encouraged to continue laboring faithful in His work.
Please pray for Helen. Pray for her continued growth and opportunities to share the gospel with her family. Helen also recently lost her husband. Please pray for comfort during this difficult time for her and her family.
Thank you again for your prayers and support!
Exciting to hear how God is using you! Praise the Lord for the elderly lady’s salvation and her desire to tell her family!
Praising the Lord with you in the salvation, baptism, & growth (they’re sharing the Gospel!) of Ariana, Gio, & Dee! Fruit for your labors, & prayerfully they will see fruit, too. 🙏 May we all be found faithful as we anticipate the Lord’s soon return!
It’s such a blessing to read how the Lord is blessing with soul’s being saved in Boston. Praying for continued blessings!
Thank you for your labor of love for people. My prayer is that God would help me to see people as He sees them. I am rejoicing with you in hearing of these precious souls who have followed the Lord in baptism as well as this precious soul who has trusted in Christ alone for salvation. Love and prayers for you and your family.
I have prayed over this letter and rejoice in all God is doing.
Encouraging to hear this report. 75 years later! Praise the Lord. 🙏💖
Thank you for your update and for your wonderful ministry in New England.
That is such great news! Praising the Lord with you for what He is doing
